Happy Friday, June 17 - Juneteenth, Papa’s Day and Summer Solstice!
What a load of things to honor this weekend. Scroll through to find resources on how you might explore some of these events on a deeper level.

This one makes me think of the *Papas who throw their kiddos into the air while their little ones squeal with glee, who carry the bike AND the snacks AND the treasures their littles found while out on a walk, who get down on all-fours so they can play Horsey. Being a playful parent is incredibly physical, which brings me to this week’s free technique!
The Lats are responsible for a TON of shoulder mobility and stability, but they’re often overlooked since we don’t normally feel them as much as other parts of the shoulder. In fact, sometimes tension in the Lats are THE REASON why the shoulders are holding tension elsewhere.
Drop down into the Lat roll this weekend and if you’ve got little people trying to climb all over you when you do, I’d be willing to bet they’ll learn a thing or two about self-care just by watching you demonstrate it for them. :)

Relax the Lats for Better Shoulder Mobility
*The term “Papas” is used above to include anyone who identifies as a masculine parental figure.

This week’s class is the first release of the MEGA CLASS! This is how workouts will be released going forward. Mid-way through the class, there will be an indication that the “quickie version” is over, and you can choose to continue and take the whole class, or call it after the quickie.

This Sunday is Juneteenth, which marks the anniversary for emancipation of enslaved African Americans. While every day is an opportunity to witness and learn about African American culture, Juneteenth is the ultimate invitation for white folks like me to investigate our cultural biases, our ties to white supremacy culture and support Black creators and Black owned businesses. There are so many ways to do this! If you’re not sure where to start, I recommend Check Your Privilege! The old book is a quick, easy read if you’re just getting started and the new book will be life changing!
