What Does Self Care Look Like for You?

It’s okay to not do the most.
One day this week, I had big plans to take a 90 minute workout class, clean the whole house, take the dog for a long walk and eat salad. I ended up going to Target and eating glorified mac and cheese for dinner with my guys. Honestly…sometimes self care looks like this, doesn’t it? I felt great about my day because I did what I wanted to do and dropped the things I felt like I had to do. In return, I felt present and calm.
In the physical world, I think our culture sees a Peloton workout like the healthiest thing we can do for ourselves and places very little value on a restorative activities like stretching, mediating, rolling. The problem though, is that if you’re doing the most all the time, when do you prepare for doing the most? The majority of clients on my table this week were overworked, tight, sore, kept trying to get those squats in but the knees just weren’t having it.
We ask a lot of our physical bodies and when we don’t give back to them as regularly as we ask them to give to us, they become tired, systems break down, body gets slow, mind gets foggy.

This Roll Class Will Reset You.
This live class had like 12 participants, all with different requests. So we did them all! This 60 minute experience will leave you feeling so much better.

Take the 56 Minute Barre…
Enjoy some chair sits against the wall and a fresh, full body sequence.

Or Just the First 21 Minutes!
There is a 3 MINUTE PLANK in this one. I warned you!
With love and gratitude,
Maggie
