Self massage can, actually feel like a full body massage just happened to you.

Hi Buddies,
This sounds really weird—even to me—but I cannot wait to take my own class this weekend. That’s right, you just read that. I’m going to put my kiddo down for a nap, throw this class onto the ole’ laptop and take this class from myself. It’s gonna be hella weird and I will probably learn some things, too.
I’ve never had to do this before, because I’ve always taken class with you while teaching. This month though, I’m taking a few weeks off from live teaching and I can’t tell you how stark the difference is in my body from “taking” class 1-2 times a week to not at all. Maybe it’s 17 months of pandemic stress, maybe it’s turning a physiological corner at age 35. Either way, I have never missed rolling as much as I do now and I realize how much it really helps me.
I started rolling many years ago when I became generally uncomfortable in my aches and pains. I became, dare I say, a little obsessed with translating my skills as a massage therapist into something replicable on the foam roller. Not only was I so excited to teach my clients to be more independent through rolling, but being a person who lives in the awareness of all my bodily sensations, I found such huge relief in rolling to curb those aches and give me an experience of not feeling so much, all the time. Releasing tension in my tissues was a way for me to move through the world in a more comfortable (read: functional) way. I’ve been teaching rolling weekly since then, until the last couple weeks and BOY do I feel my body missing it.
This weekend’s class was filmed in the middle of last month. I have no idea what’s in it but I do know it’s a solid, full body massage and should feel great. Let’s jump in and let’s take it together! ;)
